The Museum of WitchcraftThe Museum of Witchcraft todayIt is the policy of the Museum to display items relating to witchcraft and magic. We bias toward Cornish and English artifacts but are not exclusive. There are many artifacts in the collection that could offend but as a museum we strive to remain impartial and show all aspects of our subject. The museum aims to demonstrate the beliefs and practices of witches past and present. We receive a steady flow of donated exhibits which enable the museum to regularly update its displays. The Museum maintains an impressive archive and library that are made available to scholars and academics (with suitable references) by appointment. In 1996, an independent club called 'The Friends of the Museum of Witchcraft' was formed. The club raises money by subscription and donation to help purchase new display items and conservation tools and equipment. Details of 'The Friends of the Museum of Witchcraft' are available from Adrian Bryn Evans, House of the Old Ways, 76 Balch Rd, Wells, Somerset, BA5 2BX, Tel: 01749 674712. The museum displays are grouped into the follow categories that also form the subject headings in these web pages: -
